Goldens Galore!

This weekend was a big one for the boys. Saturday we had the Winter Wonderland Golden Retriever fun day. It was great to catch up with Jane & Tony and all the other golden's. There was fun for everyone - 2 and 4 legged alike!

There was Socks 4 Dogs...

Musical Mats...

and Apple Bobbing...

Sammy even got spoilt, getting groomed by Jane & Tony (though I don't think he saw it as a good thing).

Today, Sam had it first Mock-Trial (bascially a practice run of a proper trial). Anyway, he did pretty well, scoring 84/100... which I'm told would have been a pass. Both John and I were very proud :o)

Texas Hold 'em

On Saturday, Richard, Darren, Sarah & the kids came 'round for dinner and cards. It was a nice night, but I think we were all a little bit too tired. Sarah (as usual) cleaned up, but at least I won a bit back toward the end. We ended up all (roughly) winning our money back, which was good for Rich, who had $10 left in his wallet.

The kids had a lot of fun chasing each other around and mauling each other. Maudib and Charlie found the rope, and had a Mexican stand-off. Neither of them really pulling, but each refusing to let go.

What a bargain!!

Today John and I went shopping at David Jones. We had scored ourselves $300 worth of vouchers from our AMEX reward card, so figured we'd go shopping. Lucky for us, they had a huge sale on, and we ended up walking out of there with about $550 worth of goods for a total of $65 (after the discounts and using our vouchers).

We bought:
- 2 quality latex pillows
- 2 extra pillows for our bed
- 2 pillows for the spare bed
- 6 red wine goblets
- 6 white wine glasses
- 12 hi-ball glasses, and
- 6 tumblers

(glasses shown)

Now we are just about ready to move in to our new house!!! (if it was built)
