Puppy Play

Since Coco's passing, Maudib had been really sad, so Sarah invited us around for a puppy play date. We took the boys to the park for a play and I think they really had a good time. Here are a few action shots.

R.I.P Coco

Our condolences to Sarah and Darren for the

untimely loss of dear sweet Coco. Just 1 year old.

She will be missed.

Strike-a-pose

Exciting news... the frame is up!!

It's rather exciting to see the house coming together, being able to walk around the house, imagining where we'll put the furniture and everything.

We spent quite a bit of time there this evening, trying to work out where we'll put the networking. It should be interesting to see how everything works out.

Bushwalking

Yesterday we went bushwalking with Darren and Sarah and the dogs. We went to a new park we hadn't been to before (Darren had gone there once on his bike, but the rest of us hadn't been). It was really hot and unfortunately all the creeks were dry but I think the dogs had fun running around crazy anyway.

We actually saw heaps of wildlife.

A minor bird (these are so common - I dont even remember taking this picture)

A tawny frogmouth

Another common bird - the magpie

A brown snake (one of 3 we saw - all within 1 metre from the path we were walking on)

A kookaburra (one of 2 that we saw)

A rainbow lorikeet (one of many that we saw)

A galah
(surprisingly, the only one I saw that stayed still long enough to take a photo of)

It was really fun, and considering we only walked for about 1.5 hours (poor Coco was so tired) I thought we did well to see so many animals.

Ohh.. we also saw 2 rabbits if that counts - but they didn't stay still long enough to take a photo - in fact, I didn't even notice then until they ran away.

Of course, I couldn't publish this blog without an update on our house. The slab is down!! yay!
